Trustee Meeting
January 15, 2013
The Board of Trustees of the Hamilton Public Library met at 6:30 p.m. on January 15, 2013 at the library. Members present were: Jim Noble, John Kolditz, Bob Schneider, Dan Reinhardt, Nancy Denton, Sharon Esterday Anderson, Carole Buerklin
The meeting was opened by President, Dan Reinhardt.
MINUTES
The minutes were approved with the following additions: Cevin Cox was in attendance at the last meeting. Also, $100 was transferred from the General Account to the Grant bank account to keep the account open. John Kolditz moved and Jim Noble seconded.
BILLS
John Kolditz moved and Jim Noble seconded that the bills be paid. Motion carried.
REPORTS
Friends of the Library-A tentative date in March has been set for a dance at Sullivan’s Auction. The Friends and the library will hold a Father and Son cake bake off Jan. 26th.
The cakes with be auctioned and the proceed will go to the Friends of the Library.
Finance-Dan Reinhardt moved that $5,000 be moved from the Money Market Account to the General Account. Jim Noble seconded. Motion carried.
Librarian’s Report-John Kolditz moved and Dan Reinhardt seconded that Nancy Denton choose an air-conditioner to purchase for the staff room, from now on to be known as the Library Meeting Room. Motion carried.
-eBooks subscription has been renewed.
-Jan Seyfert has offered to teach two classes on the use of tablets and eReaders.
-Several electrical projects need to be addressed. The board agreed to have the florescent lights that need new ballasts fixed. The following projects will be put out for bids-the light in the men’s restroom, electricity to the utility building, and the timer to the outside security lights replaced.
-The checking account for the grant money has been set up.
PUBLIC RELATIONS

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
In the Spring measurement for the parking area will be made.
OLD BUSINESS
John Kolditz moved and Dan Reinhardt seconded the room currently called the Staff Room be changed to the Library Meeting Room. Motion carried.
